Was eating at a BBQ restaurant/bar the other night with my girlfriend and heard the end of a commercial that said something about the Hyundai Venue... which I’d never heard of somehow.
Apparently it’s built on the Accent platform and can be had with a 6-speed manual. Neat.
Only makes 121hp, but also only weighs around 2,600lbs, which is not tooooooo bad.
I think it’s kinda handsome for a C ute Ute.
Also saw this Buick on big wheels on my walk to work and didn’t hate it.

I was also co mpletely unaware of this car’s existence until now. Has Hyundai done absolutely no advertising for this thing?

Yeah I saw these awhile ago. There’s a Photoshopped Kia version that looks way better. I’m just not a huge fan of the Hyundai’s grille

Im fairly certain I used to have those exact same wheels, the look like Eagle AE077s. I had a set of 18s on my Pontiac Grand Prix. The recently made their way onto a fellow Oppos Buick...

We should see more advertising soon; the Hyundai Canada site says it’s coming soon, and Wiki says it came out in Australia back in September. With my earth geo-rotational calculations we should see Venues any day now in North America.

That is better.

I saw something on C&D a while back that had pricing for the manual, starts under 19k I think so really not bad these days. It's one that I'm mildly interested in, I always kinda wanted a manual hr-v too, but at the end of the day, particularly on the used market I find it hard to justify the premium over a fit or something.

Same! I’d not heard of it at all until I saw one brief commercial for it on Youtube a few days ago! I am not a Crossover guy at all, but, I have to say, I do like this...especially if I could still get a manual!

I was a completely unaware of this one. Probably because it’s only available in California. A 60,000 dollar, hydrogen fuel cell. luxury SUV from Hyundia. Wild
